Every day, 4 Australian women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer – and with a 46% survival rate, it's simply 4 too many.
THIS NOVEMBER, NO WOMAN WALKS ALONE
Sign up to the Workout 4 Women challenge and commit to moving every day. Walk, run, or move any way you can over 4km to show your support for the 4 women diagnosed each day in Australia with ovarian cancer. Get your family and friends to sponsor your daily activity and raise money to help fund the critical work Ovarian Cancer Australia does.
HOW IT WORKS
Workout 4 Women is a free fitness challenge you can take part in from anywhere or anytime - outside, at the gym, before work, on your lunch break with a friend, while walking the dog.* Do it all in one go or break it up across your day. Sign up as an individual or register as part of a team and take on the challenge together.
Each kilometre you move will be for 1 woman who has received the life-changing news of being diagnosed with ovarian cancer that day. The money you raise will help Ovarian Cancer Australia provide personalised support, and create better outcomes for people affected by ovarian cancer.
Think this is a challenge for women only? No way! We encourage men to join in and fundraise for the women in your lives. Anyone can take part.
*Subject to Government restrictions in your local area.

WORKOUT 4 WOMEN LIKE ANNALEI
During the middle of Melbourne’s 2020 lockdown, 32 year old Annalei’s severe pains in her side resulted in her being rushed to the emergency department and straight into emergency surgery.
She was shocked to learn that a secondary mass the size of a golf-ball had been removed from her upper abdomen and she was diagnosed with stage 3c low grade serous ovarian cancer. The support of Annalei’s husband Stew, family, friends and Ovarian Cancer Australia’s specialist ovarian cancer support nurses and groups helped Annalei throughout her experience.
“OCA has brought me the amazing teal support nurse Fiona and counsellor Hayley. We chat weekly and OCA run numerous support groups including the young women’s support group and male partner’s support group. Most people who get ovarian cancer are over 50 so meeting with other young women is important. No-one expects to go through menopause and infertility at 32 so talking to others with similar experiences is important.”
