- Groups are held on the second Thursday of each month from 10.30 am – 12 noon.
- At each meeting, guest speakers present on relevant topics including nutrition, massage therapy, meditation and more.
- Women who have been diagnosed with other gynaecological cancers are also welcome to attend.
- There are also support groups run through hospitals, other organisations and individuals. These groups include areas that are not currently covered by Ovarian Cancer Australia support groups (such as Tasmania) and several major regional centres in other states.
- If there is not currently a support group in your local area you might be interested in accessing our Tele-support service or you may like to start your own support group.
Finding the best support group for your needs can sometimes take a little bit of research. Remember that you can attend a group at any stage after your diagnosis with ovarian cancer and you can ‘trial’ a group to see if it’s the right fit for you.
