Ovarian Cancer Australia is a small organisation with a big job so our volunteers play a significant role in helping us to achieve our vision. There are a number of ways you can volunteer for Ovarian Cancer Australia.

We are used to stretching funds a long way.  Your help will do more than you can imagine.

$10 contributes to our Information and Referral Line, enabling people from around Australia to call us for the cost of a local call. The service is critical for anyone who is worried about symptoms, seeking information or support, or wanting to find out more about ovarian cancer.

$30 helps us print and distribute awareness materials, supplying them to more health and community centres. This is a simple, powerful way to ensure that every Australian knows the symptoms of ovarian cancer.

$50 provides a woman diagnosed with ovarian cancer with her own Resilience kit. The kit includes an information guide covering diagnosis, treatment, living well and support services available. The kit also includes a diary to keep track of appointments, medical history and chemotherapy treatment plus a journal to record thoughts and feelings.

$100 helps us to expand our support role in every state in Australia by employing support group coordinators to provide information and assistance to support groups and deliver presentations to hospitals and healthcare centres. Support groups provide an opportunity for women with ovarian cancer to meet monthly to discuss common issues, share stories, gain more information, and receive emotional support to help them cope with diagnosis and treatment.

$150 will help continue and expand our Rural and Regional Tele-Support Service. This essential service reduces the isolation and distress felt by people affected by ovarian cancer who live in rural and regional areas by allowing them to connect with other women experiencing a similar situation. The service is accessible to women anywhere in Australia — all they need is access to a telephone.

$200 will help to recruit and train a Community Ambassador and assist their work in the community. Our Community Ambassadors will raise awareness of ovarian cancer in their local communities through presentations and distribution of awareness information.
