“I can’t stress enough the importance of Ovarian Cancer Australia. To finally find a place where other women understood exactly what you were going through and to not feel alone.” - Rachel Support Information
Support Groups
Why join a cancer support group?
It is an opportunity for women with ovarian cancer to meet regularly with each other to talk about common issues, share information and provide emotional support.
Support groups can vary in format, with some being very formal with guest speakers, while others are more of a casual catch-up. Venues can vary from hospitals to cafes to online forums.
It is important that you join a support group that you feel comfortable attending and is most appropriate to your needs.
They offer a sense of belonging, a chance to share stories, gain more information, and assist you to cope with diagnosis and treatment. Click on the links below for details of support groups in your state.
