Building Support Groups Australia wide
Ovarian Cancer Australia is currently looking for volunteers who are interested in facilitating ovarian cancer support groups in their local community.
At the moment there are 16 ovarian cancer support groups being promoted and supported by Ovarian Cancer Australia. These support groups are held monthly and function according to the needs of the group.
Now, Ovarian Cancer Australia wants to expand the number of support groups offered to ovarian cancer patients and survivors by helping volunteers set-up a support group in their local community.
Ovarian Cancer Australia helps volunteers set-up, run and promote ovarian cancer support groups by sending start-up information, promoting the support groups on our website and informing women about support groups nearest to them.
Ovarian cancer support groups in Australia are currently run by ovarian cancer survivors, family and friends of women who have had ovarian cancer, and people who just want to make a difference.
If you are interesting in starting a support group in your local community for women with ovarian cancer, please contact us at info@ovariancancer.net.au or 1300 660 334.
