Each year in February Ovarian Cancer Australia runs a national Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month campaign to highlight the symptoms of ovarian cancer and to raise funds for our programs.

Stephanie Alvarez
Director
Steph Alvarez lost her mother to ovarian cancer in 1992, five months after she was diagnosed with stage 3c ovarian cancer. At the time Steph was working as a pharmacist at the Royal Marsden Cancer Hospital in Chelsea, London, which is famous for its work in the cancer field.
Steph is a Perth-based Director of Ovarian Cancer Australia. She has been a member of the National Centre for Gynaecological Cancers Advisory Panel since 2007. She has a Pharmacy degree and has worked as an Oncology Pharmacist in both the UK and Australia.
Steph currently works as a Practice Manager for her surgeon husband's private practice.
