Each year in February Ovarian Cancer Australia runs a national Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month campaign to highlight the symptoms of ovarian cancer and to raise funds for our programs.
About us
Karen Livingstone
Founding Director
Karen Livingstone founded Ovarian Cancer Australia with her sister Nicole Livingstone in 2001 after their mother and aunt passed away from the disease.
She is a passionate advocate for women and their families affected by ovarian cancer. A particular area of interest for Karen is familial genetics – Karen herself carries the BRCA 2 gene. As well as her role with Ovarian Cancer Australia, Karen is also an Executive Member of the Australian New Zealand Gynaecological Oncology Group (ANZGOG).
